Finding the Perfect Family Home

Remember Earl & Jan? The awesome grandparents who decided it was time to settle back in Portland full-time to be closer to their growing crew of grandchildren? These two had been eyeing a very special quiet, tree-lined neighborhood, and when the right home popped up, they jumped at the opportunity.
As luck would have it, they happened to be driving by when a For Sale sign caught their eye. By chance, the seller was outside & invited them in for a sneak peek before the open house. It didn’t take long to realize this was something special: space for visiting kids and grandkids, a layout to age comfortably in, and an outdoor area perfect for family gatherings. It was love at first sight.

The very next day, we toured it together more thoroughly... digging into the details, checking for any red flags, and strategizing how to make it theirs. Their instincts were right: this was the one. We wrote a strong, thoughtful offer that not only won the sellers over but was compelling enough for them to cancel all future showings and go with us right away. From there, the process unfolded seamlessly. We secured a credit toward a future roof replacement, negotiated for some added furniture (a bonus that lightened the seller’s load), and structured the timeline so the seller had extra time to vacate without stress. With all the details aligned, we closed in just 10 days.

Now they’re settled into a beautiful space with room for family, fun outdoor gatherings, and even a budding friendship with the seller. For them, it’s more than a home, it’s the perfect place to create memories, strengthen family ties, and start their next chapter exactly where their hearts wanted them to be. Sometimes the universe really does conspire to put you right where you’re meant to be.
